First solo cruise May on NCL Breakaway. If I do it again, it will be on another cruise line. The solo cabin wasn’t a problem except it didn’t have a refrigerator, and the solo lounge was unoccupied 95% of the time. The ship had some issues…no working ice machines, the main buffet closed at 2200, when I travel alone I don’t buy the drink package, I get the soda. To get a soda I had to order from a waiter/waitress or go to the bar. No Coke Free machines. All the specialty restaurants had the same menu except the Asian restaurants. But otherwise I had a good time. Looking forward to my Alaskan cruise. Thanks for all the info you provide.

Welll that's food tampering and that's a felony. Depending where you're from that can be from like 1-20 years in prison and a hefty fine. Also that little ring that's left on the bottle when you open it and you hear cracking when you first open it is know as a "tampering seal/ring". It's there to let the consumer know if you don't hear that cracking when you first open it or if the tiny tabs holding the cap to the ring is broken before you open it you'll know that the bottle has been opened/ tramplered with and is unsafe to open. I know it may be a tedious job but all the cruise liner has to do is when cleaning the room is to check to see if the cap has been tampered with. If it is tampered with than 1: call the authorities, 2: ban the passenger for life, 3: charge the passenger out the wazoo for their little trick of trying to get out of paying for their bottle of water.

I just priced out the over water cabanas at $5299 for May 2025 on ICON.

Carnival now has dogs in side and outside the cruise terminal sniffing bags and if they find anything, they will not let you board and will band you for life. And they don't care if you have a medical card or not.

I think anyone who does crap like this or worse, should be banned from the ENTIRE cruise community!! If they did it on one cruise, you can bet they’ll do it elsewhere.

It looks like MAS really got it together from the Paradise to the Islander. It’s funny it’s a Carnival Corp Spirit Class ship which is one of my favorite smaller class of ships. This might have to be a try it out in the future deal

I am taking a Carnival cruise on the 4th of July and a Princess in November. The Princess Premier package seems like 1000% a better deal.

My goofy imagination has “ everyone” in rotation switching out that same water bottle over and over and over thinking they’re on to some new secret prank. I've never gotten to 15. 13 was my highest drink count for one day, but I DID see a young lady (with a baby in her arms) that was denied an adult beverage because she had met her daily drink package limit! (It was about 2AM ) 😬 I do also know that SOME people will buy drinks for OTHER people on their drink package. This lady with the baby didn't look or act "15 drinks in" so I'm assuming she may have comped some of her allotted 15 drinks out to someone else in her party, in another room, that DIDN'T purchase the drink package... (Also, she was shocked to find out that there was a drink limit to the package... she didn't do her research.. smh) lol

I cruised Celebrity for the first time in the end of May 2024. You are allowed access to your room off the rip! As soon as you board the ship, regardless of "loyalty ranking". You DO have to leave again so that they can complete their reset... Even though I always let the cruise line handle my bags, I did appreciate being able to access my room immediately, just to use a private bathroom and drop off my carryon toiletry bag and be "hands free" right up until the sail away party!

The bags that I use for travel, I use for nothing but travel but I STILL check every pocket before a trip!! I collect knives. My late wife bought me this knife that folded into a credit card. A nice little novelty item. I carried it in my wallet for yeeeeeeears. Went through TSA for flights several times during those years, not even remembering that it was there. I never got flagged by TSA. Then one day, getting back onto a Carnival ship from a port of call, I put my wallet phone and watch in the little bowl to go onto the Xray conveyer belt as usual, (Just as I do for TSA) and THEY flagged it! lol..

Ughh!! I haven’t drank tap water since the early 2000s, and I have a water purifying system connected to my home’s water system. This is disgusting!

we just cruised on the seascape last week..we took our 18 yr old son as a high school graduation present....HE HATED IT, and was bored to death and so were we...he did like the gym though....we didnt have any issues with any crew members, well one bar service lady wouldnt allow me to get 5 drinks at breakfast (you can get 9 at a time)....as a black family, we didnt feel any outright racism, until disembarkment day...not by the crew, but just dirty looks from white passengers who were trying to get off at the same time as us.....crazy...they need much more american type entertainment...the music sucked...

I can’t do ghetto anymore. I moved out of the Bronx 25 years ago and when I go to my old hood not sure how I survived. I stay far far away. I don’t want to smell weed hear loud music all nite. I pay 10x just to not be near anyone like that lol. Not even sure how I dealt with it for the first 25 years.

What if she put her mouth on that bottle? Refilling it to sit and breed bacteria could make someone horribly sick, or if they have health issues maybe it could even be life-threatening. She should be getting prison time.
