Worst idea ever. Carnival will ruin their veteran cruises and waste money on big beautiful ships for a wild, uncontrollable party scene. No, thank you! People don't know how to control themselves in public now. Carnival already has kids running up and down hallways at 1AM in the morning. Now drunks crazy people people no no no no. Carnival, please stay away from mega ships doing 3 or 4 day cruises.

That's hilarious, they get themselves to 3 times the average persons weight, which adds insulation, and 69 degrees was too hot for them. Got to love those Americans.

What are guests able to give crew members that won't get them in trouble? Like can I buy a starbucks coffee for my stateroom attendant in the morning? Can I bring them a dessert from the buffet or main dining room?

I personally believe most bottled water is just that, filtered tap water. Hell, in some cases it may not even be filtered. I do not like my local tap water, and as it comes from the lower part if the Williamite River (A major river in Oregon that drains through Williamite Valley (prime farm country) and eventually drains into the Columbia River and from there into the Pacific, I'm not fully sure the water doesn't contain things I'd rather not drink. I use bottled water, but it's the cheapest stuff I can find. Win-co sells it for less than $1 per gallon. It's just filtered tap water, but it doesn't come from the Willemite River. I was especially troubled after canoeing on the Tualatin river, which drains into the Willemite after passing through county where septic tanks are common. And you could smell it. Water containing raw sewage becomes unsafe to drink long before it starts to stink.

Every cruise I've been on required you to embark on ship 2 hours before sailing. If you can't make the cruise on time, you're screwed. I arrive to the port a day early, and I arrive for embarkation at least as hour before the assigned time to check in.

They bought the 15 drink cut off in because everyone on the boat was just using the one drink card to get there drinks lol

As a large person that also takes a medication that makes it feel about 10 degrees F hotter than it really is, I find that 69 degrees is about the best I can hope for as to A/C performance when it’s 90+ outside. Put your hair up, splash cold water on your wrists and the back of your neck, and wear a tank top. Stay hydrated and use a fan. Better yet, take a cold weather vacation. I use most of my vacation days for winter trips to the mountains. Has to be a cruise? Check out Alaska, Norway, England, or Antarctica. Carnival can’t wish the warming climate out of existence. Adapt or look silly online/be miserable on vacation.

Product tampering is a crime... PERIOD! Remember the "A"-hole who was licking ice cream in stores and then putting it back in the freezer? Or, even more seriously, the woman who put cyanide in Tylenol to cover up murdering her husband? It's stuff like this that makes products more expensive, and more difficult to open as they have to add tamper-resistant features!

Geez, colder than 69°? I’m not a skinny person and nothing is ever too cold for me, but I keep my A/C set at 78° in the summer. Living where it gets above 100° nearly every day during the summer, 78° is perfectly fine for an indoor temperature. You just have to get acclimated. Not being able to cool your room to an unnaturally cold temperature is definitely not discriminatory against fat people….unless they’re deceased and require cold storage until a mortuary can come retrieve them for embalming.

I pack more fans than shoes.. i am serious about my comfort. 2 travel fans and neck fans also a hand fan( think church fan) Im less than 200 pds and I just don't tolerate heat well, my husband over 300 pds did just fine on every cruise we have taken ,just find a cool spot and never ever vacation in the summer. Haha

About time. Fat people consume more food and take up more space, so they should be paying accordingly.

I have no problem and I’m fat. But that is unrealistic cold.

I never had an issue with the ac and of I want to keep it running leave a give card or an old room key to keep the ac running when your not in the room

I can see an argument for it being too hot... it doesn't get cold enough for me either but im used to running an extra wall unit in my bedroom to keep it like a meat locker at night. I found the air flow on mardi gras in particular to be absolutely awful. There's no ac anywhere on that ship. Only air flow is from wind when doors to outside open

With millions of cruisers out there at least half are the hefty and expansive, lots of 300 lb + people on board, how many lose their minds over the AC? Then, I’ve seen not-fat people bring an additional fan onboard. It’s not “fat discrimination.”

The good thing about the fire, if there is ever a good thing about a shipboard fire, is that it happened in port, which I'm assuming made it manageable far more quickly than if it was at sea.

No one forces food in your mouth. No one chained you to the floor. If you're obese, it's because you allows your body to get that way. If you're happy fine - but you're not a protected class because you made yourself obese. So....
